Byron Aviation Strengthens Fiji’s Economy with New Operations

Byron Aviation to Boost Local Manufacturing and Create 60 Jobs

Byron Aviation has officially commenced operations this month, strengthening Fiji’s position as a regional hub for aviation services and manufacturing.

Over the next 12 months, the company is set to create 50–60 new jobs, contributing to skills development and economic growth.

Chief Executive Officer of Byron Aviation (Fiji) Pte Ltd, Mr Pravin Singh, shares insights on the company’s vision and its growing presence in Fiji.

From producing aircraft seat covers, oxygen masks, and sheet-metal components to supplying Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Byron Aviation is building local capability in a highly specialized industry reducing reliance on imports while creating new export opportunities.

Beyond aviation, the company has plans to expand into the healthcare sector, manufacturing essential equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and oxygen masks for hospitals bringing direct benefits to communities across Fiji.

Looking ahead, the introduction of RFID tracking for airport GSE, supported entirely from Fiji, will further enhance operational efficiency and innovation within the aviation space.

With its official launch anticipated in mid-2026, Byron Aviation represents more than an investment it's a commitment to local talent, industry diversification, and a more resilient Fijian economy.
